What is it? |
|
The Parish Council is committed to providing quality facilities and amenities for the people who live within the Barnt Green Parish Bounds, and to promoting the economic and social well-being of the area. This web site details many aspects of the Council’s work.
We aim to involve and cover any aspect that impinges on your lives - health, housing, transport, recreation, the environment, traffic speed and volume, retail services, education, recycling, employment and crime and safety.
We act in parnership with the Bromsgrove District Council and
the County Council and have joint meetings with our Parish Council neighbours.
You will have noticed in your Council Tax demand that you make a small contribution each year towards Parish Council spending. That money is used by the Parish Council to provide services in the village including:
· provision of street lighting in the village;
· maintenance of the park and playground on Hewell Road;
· maintenance of the playing fields on Bittell Road;
· provision of litter and dog waste bins and their regular emptying;
· litter picking and general tidying around the village;
· advice to the District Council Planning Committee on planning applications;
· influencing decisions taken at district or county level which affect the village.
